National Park Ranger Tours

We have combined the expertise of Kenai Fjords Tours' captains, certified through the National Association of Interpretation, with the National Park Service to bring you an interpretive program presented on Fox Island by a National Park Ranger.

Interpretive Programs will include a variety of topics such as:

• How the National Park Service helps protect the nation's natural and cultural heritage.
  
• What effects the Harding Icefiled and outflowing glaciers have made on Kenai Fjords National Park.
  
• How glaciation, climate and plate tectonics have helped shape the dynamic landscape of Kenai Fjords National Park.
  

Learn more about the fragile ecosystems such as mountains, ice, ocean currents and what you can do to protect them from future harm.

This all inclusive overnight package combines the premium Northwestern Fjord tour with a night at the Kenai Fjords Wilderness Lodge, chef-prepared meals and a private cabin on a remote Resurrection Bay beach.

The package includes a grilled wild Alaska salmon lunch at the Fox Island day lodge, a presentation by a National Park Ranger, dinner and breakfast prepared by our private chef and an overnight stay at the Fox Island Wilderness lodge. Fox Island Escape Package (3 days / 2 nights)
Explore, escape, unwind at the Kenai Fjords Wilderness Lodge!

The same great experience as the Fox Island Overnight package - with more time to explore the islands coast and mountain trails, feast on chef-prapared meals and relax in your private cabin. No televisions, radios, computers or phones will disrupt your escape to Fox Island (emergency communications available).
