Season
Early season tours begin in early March for winter wildlife viewing. Tours begin daily departures in late April and run through the end of September. Tours range in duration from 3 hours to 9 hours. During peak season, we offer seven tours departing between 8 AM and 5 PM from the Seward Small Boat Harbor.
Reputation
Highly recommended Day Cruise provider operating in Kenai Fjords National Park since 1974.
Comfort
All vessels offer comfortable seating, spacious heated cabins, indoor seating for all guests, outdoor viewing decks and are restroom equipped. Tours that travel outside Resurrection Bay cruise through open ocean waters. If you are concerned about motion sickness, check with your doctor and pharmacist. You may want to consider over-the-counter anti-nausea medication. Follow directions on medication, which should be taken the night before travel in most cases.
Weather and Clothing
From spring to early fall in Alaska, be prepared for temperatures in the 50 to 70 degree range, always with the possibility of rain and wind. Your best bet is to dress in layers and bring a backpack. You will stay warm and dry when it is chilly and wet, and you can remove layers and store them as the weather changes. The inner layer should wick away moisture from your skin. Cotton is not recommended for your inner layer. The middle layer could be an expedition weight long underwear layer, a fleece jacket or even a sweater. The all-important outer layer should be waterproof and breathable. A jacket with a hood offers a convenient way to preserve heat. Should you forget a layer, clothing is available for sale in our lobby.
